What is the process for fire damage restoration?
Because fire damage is an emergency call, it is important that we are able to handle the calls, react, and get to the customer’s location right away.
We do that through a 24-hour emergency answering service where customers can call at any time of day and get a hold of us. If a customer needs us to show up at a property at 3:00am, we will be there.
Step 1: Secure the property
In the event of significant fire damage, the first priority is securing the property. For extensive fire damage the property will be boarded up to make sure that it is secure. We have the team and equipment ready to go in our vans that allows us to show up and make that happen quickly.
Step 2: Assess the damage and create an estimate.
We need to begin the cleanup and restoration process as quickly as possible since the secondary damage that smoke and ash can cause starts to happen within minutes. First, we will identify all the affected materials and source of the smoke odor. Once affected areas are treated, they may be sealed off to prevent any further odor from permeating the air in the future.
Step 3: Begin the restoration process
The arduous repair process begins by removing all of the debris. From there, we need to contain the smoke smell that is present in many cases. Our professional team uses specialized detergents to treat the house and neutralize the odor. After this, we can begin the reconstruction process.
